Anxiety and depression have become some of the biggest struggles among today’s youth. Career pressures, relationship issues, social media comparisons, loneliness, and fear of the future can break the heart and mind. But God reminds us that life is not meant to be lived under constant burden, but in His peace and joy.

1️⃣ What Does the Bible Say About Anxiety and Depression?
Philippians 4:6-7 – “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God… will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” 👉 Anxiety may come, but the Bible teaches us to surrender it at the feet of Jesus.
Psalm 34:17-18 – “The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” 👉 Even in depression and anxiety, God is near.

2 Timothy 1:7 – “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” 👉 When we accept our weakness and trust in God, His Spirit fills us with confidence and peace.

- 🙏 Develop a prayer habit – start and end your day by talking to God.
- 📖 Read the Bible daily – God’s Word renews your mind. (Romans 12:2)
- 🎶 Listen to worship music – praise lifts the spirit and fills with joy.
- 📝 Keep a gratitude journal – write down at least three blessings daily.
- 👥 Stay in fellowship – do not isolate yourself; connect with believers. (Hebrews 10:25)
- 🌿 Balanced lifestyle – proper sleep, exercise, and healthy food help mental strength.
4️⃣ Our True Identity in Christ
Isaiah 43:4 – “You are precious and honored in my sight, and because I love you.” 👉 Anxiety and depression may whisper lies that we are worthless. But Jesus reminds us that we are God’s beloved children.
Psalm 139:14 – “I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made.”
Conclusion
Anxiety and depression are real, but our God is greater. Jesus not only saves us from sin but also heals our brokenness. Today make this decision: 👉 “I surrender my anxiety and depression to Jesus and walk in His peace.”
